Joseph Wang is an AMTAR Associate HDR Student working with Prof Rachel Codd at the University of Sydney. Joseph’s research project is focussed on exploring the potential of solid phase synthesis in expediting chelator production. Compared to traditional solution-phase synthesis, solid phase sy decreases the time and work needed for the synthesis of complex chelators, such as DFOG1, which exhibit high affinity towards Fe(III) and other metal ions relevant to radiopharmaceuticals.
